Surgifort^® is a human milk-based, human milk fortifier designed to meet the nutritional needs of full-term infants who have undergone surgical procedures.

When used as part of an exclusive human milk diet,^† and added to mother’s own milk or to donor human milk Surgifort fortifier provides an appropriate amount of calories, protein, and minerals^* required for the infants to grow and heal post-surgery. It allows nutrients to be delivered in a concentrated form with high calories and low volume.

Using Surgifort^®

Surgifort fortifier is available in 125 ml bottles containing 100 ml of a concentrated product. It is designed to provide variable calories depending on the patient’s needs.
Surgifort fortifier achieves target calorie concentrations of 81 kcal, 88 kcal, 95 kcal, or 102 kcal per 100 ml when mixed with human milk (typically, mother’s own milk or donor human milk provides approximately 67 kcal/100 ml¹) while maintaining osmolality lower than 336 mOsm/kg.^**
